Youth leadership engagement

Participation as an affiliate organisation in youth leadership and council-related gatherings, keeping young voices in the conversation.

Why it matters

Prevention is strongest when it starts early.

Drug abuse and violence damage health, cut short education and limit opportunity. Reaching young people early and speaking honestly about the risks protects futures and strengthens whole communities.

  • Listening before lecturing, so young people feel heard
  • Clear, factual messages about the harm caused by hard drugs
  • Working with schools, families, youth groups and community leaders
  • Keeping the conversation going beyond a single event
Our messaging themes

What we keep saying

  • Awareness of drug harmEducation on organ damage, reduced quality of life and the risks that follow substance abuse.
  • Refuse hard drugsDirect public calls to reject hard drugs and chemical dependence.
  • School and youth engagementYouth-centred sensitisation and listening-focused outreach.
  • Building safer communitiesEncouraging peaceful behaviour and shared responsibility.
Our commitments

Every informed choice can protect a future.

These are the standards we hold our work to as we grow.

Prevention first

We put energy into what happens before harm occurs: early information, early conversation, early support.

Community-led

Campaigns are designed with the schools, families and local leaders who know their communities best.

Open to partnership

Schools, youth bodies, civil society groups and supporters can all plug into our work.

Our next goal

A modern rehabilitation centre for Imo State

Our great plan is to build a modern, fully functioning rehabilitation centre in Imo State, a place where people recovering from drug abuse get real care and a real way back.

Today, under a long-term agreement with Ideato South LGA, we use their health centre facility. We are looking for sponsors to renovate and equip that place so it becomes fully functioning, as the first step towards the centre we intend to build.

Where we are today

  • Long-term agreement signed with Ideato South LGA
  • Their health centre facility allocated to our rehabilitation work
  • Sponsors sought to renovate and equip it fully
